Robert Reid Fulk, 29, of Tobaccoville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2026.
Robert was born on February 5, 1997, to Edgar Reid Fulk Jr. and Pamela Sue Rollins. He graduated from North Forsyth High School in 2015 and later attended Universal Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC. He continued his education through a specialized Mercedes-Benz program in Jacksonville, Florida, eventually becoming a Master Technician with Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville in Tennessee.
Robert was someone who took pride in everything he did, but what mattered most to him was the life he was building with the people he loved. He loved being outside, working with his hands, figuring things out, and turning his ideas into something real. He dreamed of turning his land into a farm and building a home there. The land he shared with Sarah became a place where they spent countless hours working, planning, dreaming, and building their future together.
On August 8, 2026, Robert married his best friend, Sarah Nicole Delisle, on that very land, surrounded by the people closest to them. It was one of the happiest days of his life.
Robert had a way of making himself needed without ever asking for recognition. He was the person everyone called when something broke, when they needed advice, or when they simply didn’t know what to do. He was incredibly intelligent, naturally curious, and seemed to understand how things worked without needing much explanation. But beyond what he could fix or figure out, it was the way he cared for people that made him special.
He was kind, generous, dependable, stubborn, funny, and fiercely loyal. He gave his time, his knowledge, and his energy freely. He didn’t always have to say he cared because he showed it—in the things he did, the people he helped, and the way he always seemed to find a way to be there.
The last few weeks of Robert’s life were filled with moments we will treasure forever. He married the woman he loved, celebrated with his family and friends, and stood on the land where he had spent so much time dreaming about the life ahead of him. Those memories will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
We will remember his laughter, his humor, his stories, his advice, and the countless little moments that seemed ordinary at the time but now mean everything. We will remember knowing that, when Robert was around, things somehow felt a little more manageable.
Robert’s life was full of love, adventure, laughter, and people who cared deeply about him. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will remain in the lives of everyone who knew him.
He will be joining some of his favorite people, while leaving behind so many who loved him here. He will be remembered by his special friends Chase, Garrett, Alex, and Kelly, along with countless others who became part of his life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sarah Nicole Delisle Fulk; his parents, Edgar Reid Fulk Jr. (Robin) and Pamela Sue Rollins (long-time companion Rusty); his sister, Kayla Nicole Fulk (long-time companion, Zachary); his stepbrother, Cody Alexander (Kaitlyn); as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who became family.
To know Robert was to love him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Rural Hall Christian Church, 280 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Robert’s life at 1995 Memorial Industrial School Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045, to share stories, memories, laughter, and love in his honor.
