Roger Bernard Gough

Roger Bernard Gough, 81, passed away on March 1, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. Roger was born in Forsyth County on September 1, 1942, to Flossie Caudill Gough and James Franklin Gough. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1960. Roger was a longtime member of West Bend Masonic Lodge #434. He was a dedicated employee of R.J. Reynolds for 38 years. Roger felt blessed to retire early and he kept busy by helping others. He was a Road Runner with the Shriners, driving children to hospitals for medical treatment, and he delivered Meals on Wheels through Senior Services.  Roger was also an active member of Beck’s Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing and classic cars. Roger will be remembered as a friendly, hard-working father, son, brother, neighbor and friend. He lived his life faithfully and humbly, with a generous heart. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Blake. Surviving are his daughter, Kristina Reynolds and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Katie, Riley and Finn Reynolds; and sister, Bobbie Cochrane. A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Beck's Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Vaughan and Pastor David Renegar officiating. The entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
