Robert "Bobby" Lindsay Jones

Mr. Robert ""Bobby"" Lindsay Jones, age 76 of Rural Hall passed away Friday evening, February 12, 2016 at his home. Bobby was born in Jackson County, November 10, 1939 to Norman M. Jones and Georgia Nelson Creasman Jones. He was a member of Jefferson Church of Christ in Rural Hall. Bobby graduated from Sylvia High School and moved to High Point in 1958 to work in construction. He was an avid musician and was well known for preforming at the King Barn Dance for many years. Bobby was a local music legend and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Bobby is survived by four daughters; Vickie (Steve) Sexton of Rural Hall, Donna (Mickey) Lohr of Welcome, Heather (Mike) Chambers of Kernersville and Kayla (Jordan) Hudgins of King. Ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters; Virgie Bishop of Old Fort and Ollie Coggins of Cashiers. One brother, Jesse Jones of Walkertown. Several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Chaplain Wale Frederick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
