Robert Long

Mr. Robert Hoover Long, 89, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018. He was born December 14, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Thomas Long and Maggie Stout Long. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by two sons, Charles Thomas Long "Tom" and Robert Gray Long "Robby" and a grandson, Paul Long. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eula Shore Long; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Long; three grandsons: Charles Thomas Long Jr. "Chuck" (Julie), Derek Long (Sandy), and Thomas Gray Long "Tom" and four great-grandchildren: Rachel, Peyton, Isaac, and Michael. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Mizpah Moravian Church with Rev. Fran Saylor, Rev. Charles Fishel, and Rev. John Rights officiating. Burial will follow at the church graveyard. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mizpah Moravian Church, 3165 Mizpah Church Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045 and Gideons International, PO Box 1943, King, NC 27021.
