Robert Marion

Mr. Robert Lee Marion, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019.  He was born May 22, 1931 in Surry County to the late Earnest Samuel Marion and Stella Mae Shelton Marion.  Robert was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church.  After retiring from the city of Winston-Salem, he enjoyed repairing small engines and fishing.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Marion is preceded in death by two brothers, Edison Marion and Warren Marion.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Frances Arrington Marion; three children: Terry Marion (Emily), Sherry Snyder (Dale), and Jeffrey Marion (Darlene); step-son, Ricky Arrington; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, May 3 at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Duncan Martin and Rev. Don Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Fairview United Methodist Church, 3692 Quaker Church Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
