Robert Earl Palyszeski

Robert Earl Palyszeski (Bob and Bobby), beloved husband and father, passed peacefully, Friday, March 28, 2025, in Winston-Salem, NC, as his loving wife, Lynn; and children, Rosalyn and Michael were by his side telling him how much he was loved and that they would love him forever. Bob battled like the warrior he was against a weakened heart resulting from a heart attack and recurrent ventricular tachycardia suffered at the early age of 38. He gave his all throughout, always fighting to beat whatever was thrown at him. He never complained but always kept a smile on his face and continued with his usual joking around. He loved to tell people he was nearly famous and that he is reported in the Boston Medical Journal. Bob's loss is profound for his family and friends; and the loss of his smile, dry humor, and friendliness toward everyone will leave a void that cannot be replaced.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, having served our country in Wiesbaden, Germany, working with the Guided Missile Electronic Guidance System for the Nike Missile at Camp Pieri in Wiesbaden. Later, while working at Bethlehem Steel, he went back to school, earning an associate's degree in accounting. After retiring, Bob worked with his son, Michael, a cabinet maker, in his shop for twelve years.

Bob loved sports of all kinds and Sudoku and was a pretty good cook. For many years, he played baseball on a town team as a pitcher; and for several years he coached Little League Baseball, including the years he coached his son, Michael, and his son's team. He played softball on our church team and played ice hockey while in grammar school and later on a men's town team. Bob also loved fishing, the family's camping trips, and stays on the family's campsite at Faun Lake. Later, Bob even went on a few special fishing trips with Michael.

Bob and Lynn were married on February 6, 1965, in Hamburg, NY. They, and their children, enjoyed traveling, with frequent trips to a family favorite Florence, South Carolina, visiting extended family members. Bob and his family attended Little League baseball games, he watched most sports on TV, and he loved rooting for the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Joseph; his mother, Evelyn Marie nee Dockstader; his grandparents, his brothers Charles and Ronald, his sisters Bertie and Sharon, and uncles, aunts, and cousins. He's survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Lynn) nee Huff; his daughter, Rosalyn; his son, Michael; his brother, Dennis; his granddaughter, Cassandra; grandsons, Stephen and Briggson; three great-grandchildren, Luna, Audlyn, and Una; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grand nephews. He is also survived by cousins and their spouses.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at a later date, the time and place of which will be announced at a subsequent time. A private memorial service and burial is planned.
