Robert Richard Savercool

Mr. Robert Richard Savercool, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his residence.  He was born August 4, 1939, in Pen Argyl, PA, the son of William and Ellen Walker Savercool.  He retired from Guilford Mills with over 25 years of service and was a former member of the Pen Argyl Lookout Fire Company.  Robert was a former Boy Scout Leader, loved working on cars with his grandson, enjoyed watching football and loved sightseeing around Kernersville.  He was well liked by many and will be missed by all that knew him.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Susan Morgan.  Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nancy Shook Savercool; a daughter, Roberta Savercool (Tony Shelton) of Hanging Rock; three grandchildren, Brittany Long, Amber Call and John Morgan; six great grandchildren, Robert Morgan, Hailey Morgan, Devin Call, Tucker Call, Lilly McHone and Holton Long; a sister, Georgine Snyder and many nieces and friends.  A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Francis Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt.
