Robert "Bobby" Shelton

Kernersville - Robert ""Bobby"" Earnest Shelton, 66, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bobby was born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 17, 1950 to Don and Lucille Shipp Shelton. Bobby served in the US Army Reserves for 6 years. He was a man of strong courage, faith and devotion to his wife, children and family. Bobby's physical limitations didn't touch his enormous love for life!

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Shelton; his mother-in-law, Christine Altizer; and grandmother, Josephine Hildreth.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Cindi Shelton; his son, Zak Shelton (wife, Mary Ashley); his daughter, Chasity Pantalone (husband, Chris); his granddaughter, Eliza Christine Pantalone; a sister-in-law, Theresa Spencer (husband, Jimmy); nieces, Katie Siomacco (Ed), Tracy Stonestreet (Nicole) and Jill Spencer; nephews, Mike Spencer; great nieces and nephews, Mira, Ethan, Asher & Ezra Siomacco and Gus & Meret Stonestreet.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Services, Inc. - Home Care Branch, 2895 Shorefair Dr NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
