Robert Clinton Stewart

Mr. Robert Clinton Stewart, 76, of Clemmons, NC passed away at his home on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born November 23, 1947 in Elkin, NC to Thurman Alton Stewart and Elizabeth Freeman Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Ponchatoula in Pearl Harbor from 1967 to 1971 and made rank of Boatswain Mate 2^nd Class. He retired from Terminix Pest Control. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thurman Alton Stewart, Jr.; a grandson, Bryson Michael Stewart and his first wife, Sandy Lee Stewart whom he shared two surviving children, Wendy Wrenn and Christopher Stewart (Jennifer). Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Anne Shaw Stewart, whom he met in 1974 at Hennis Freight Lines; two children, Jessica Young (Matthew) and Jason Stewart (Misty). Also, six grandchildren, Samantha Walls, Claire Stewart, Paxton Young, Presley Young, Brinley Stewart and Bowen Stewart. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Watson Morgan officiating. Following the service there will be a private graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the funeral home.
