Robert Taylor

Robert Grey “Goofy” Taylor, 54, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, following an extended battle with cancer.  He was born May 23, 1965 in Forsyth County to Linda Gale Gentry Taylor and the late Bobby Luther Taylor.  Robbie was a loyal employee of UPS for 24 faithful years.  He was an avid dealer in scrap metal.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  In addition to his father, Robbie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vallie and James Whitt; and nephews, Justin Mitchell and Eddie Hall.  Robbie is survived by his loving mother, Linda Taylor; daughter, Courtney Taylor; granddaughter, Kiara Burnett; sister, Yvonne Hall (Mark); niece, Danielle Hall; numerous extended family; and four beloved pets.  A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, June 16, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Mr. Kevin Gary officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Derrick L.
