Robert Lloyd Wells

Mr. Robert Lloyd Wells, 86, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at his residence. Robert was born in Ludowici, GA, on July 25, 1930, to the late Luddie M. Mobley and Troy S. Wells. He graduated from Ludowici High School in GA, and retired from R.J. Reynolds. He was also a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church since 1992. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy ""Dot"" Alice Wells. He is survived by his best friend, Carol Reid; three step-children, Donald Gray Mathis (wife Peggy), Edna ""Pat"" Stewart, and Lenny Mathis; and four generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Weida Ray and Allie Whittle; and one brother, Tyron Wells. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Jennings O'Neil officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
