Robert White

BELEWS CREEK - Robert Wayne White, 76, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at his home. Robert was born on November 26, 1940 in Forsyth County to Henry Russell and Jessie Roberts White. He graduated from Walkertown High School - Class of 1959 and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Robert worked for Piedmont Airlines / US Airways for 38 years, retiring in 1998.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a half-brother, Jay T. Raby and a half-sister, Pansy Raby Barger.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Judy Hester White; children, Velinda White Stowman (John Longaker), and Richard Alan White; grandchildren, Joel Brown, Dylan White and Anna Stowman; a brother, Kenneth Ray White (Faye); mother-in-law, Mary Nell Manuel; brother-in-law, Bill Hester; sister-in-law, Patty Hester Thacker; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. James Dilley, Dr. Keith Van Zandt, Piedmont Dialysis Center, and all participating EMS staff and Belews Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
