Roberta Woodruff Ledford

Roberta “Robbie” Woodruff Ledford, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Davie Nursing & Rehab. She was born December 1, 1938, in Bladen County, NC to the late Robert and Mary Gardner Woodruff. Ms. Ledford graduated from High Point University and later worked for Wachovia and Wells Fargo until she retired in 1996. She attended Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. Ms. Ledford loved spending time with her family, her cats, playing board games, baking, and visiting the beach. She especially enjoyed camping at Philpott Lake in VA and camping at the N. Myrtle Beach campgrounds with her family. Preceding her in death was a brother, Ralph Woodruff. Surviving is a son, J.P. Ledford; sister, Fran Messick (Dickie); three granddaughters, Tatum Ledford (Jason Cobb), Alex Ledford, and Samantha Gale; great-grandchildren, Rowan Bottegal, Lydia and Sylar Senart, and Athena Gale; also surviving are a great niece and nephew, Jamie Oswell and Jason Messick. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 1, 2025, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Ryan Mendenhall and Pastor Greg Freeman officiating.
