Robert C. Hahn

Mr. Robert C. Hahn, 82, died on December 8, 2019, at Forest Heights Assisted Living. Robert was born in Forsyth County on February 18, 1937, to William Carl and Helen Cleo Sheek Hahn. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 20 years and retired from R.J.R. Archer after 30 years of service. Robert was a volunteer Fire Fighter with Gumtree Fire Department, enjoyed golf, and always cared for and provided for his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Betty Lou Hahn; one son, Randy Hahn; and two brothers, Roland Hahn and Ray Hahn. Surviving are one son, Robert Hahn (wife Ginger); three grandchildren, Bethany Hahn, Anna Hahn, and Noah Hahn; and one brother, Ralph Hahn (wife Rhonda). A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Chuck Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
