Robert "Evan" Miller

Robert “Evan” Miller, 38, of Winston-Salem, passed away early Friday morning in his sleep.

Evan will be missed everyday by his father and mother, Mike and Gina Miller; sister, Erica Miller McKnight (Mitch McKnight); and the loves of his life, his nephews, Miller and Kingstin McKnight. He will also be missed by his grandparents, Ray and Geneva Mathis, along with loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Evan's longtime girlfriend, Christianne Schaible. Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Ethel Miller.

Anyone who knew Evan, knew the love he had for his family and the Lord. We have peace knowing he is now in the arms of Jesus. Although we are saddened by our loss, we find assurance in knowing that we will see Evan again in Heaven someday soon.

Evan knew what God promised for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

In John 14:1-3 Jesus said - “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Evan also knew what the Bible promised to all Christians when we get to Heaven.

Revelation 21:4 reads - “God will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the Old Order of things has passed away.”

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 7:00pm at Pinedale Christian Church in Winston-Salem. Officiating the service will be ministers, Matthew Sink and Bill McKenzie, along with Evan’s Uncle Jerry Mathis and Uncle Dale Mathis.

The church will be sanitized. We ask you to join us in practicing social distancing and to please wear a face covering. (Masks will be provided if you do not bring one)
