Robin William Overby

Mr. Robin William Overby, 76, passed away Saturday July 12, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1948, in Forsyth County, NC to Ruth Anders Overby and the late Cecil Overby. Robin loved spending time with his family and showed a strong love for his mother. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing at the lake and the coast with his brothers. In addition, he enjoyed golfing, watching westerns, playing the guitar and spending time with his fur baby, Petey. Robin retired from RJ Reynolds after 30 years of service. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Renee Overby; and sister, Denny Armstrong. Robin is survived by his mother, Ruth Anders Overby, daughter, Christina Byrd; three granddaughters, Taylor Shelton (Lucas), Tiffany Barringer, and Hannah Byrd; two sisters, Lenda Fisher (Bobby) and Sylvia Quinn (Bill); three brothers, Randy Overby, Michael Overby, and Thomas Overby; and his fur baby Petey. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
