Rodney Keith Shoaf

KERNERSVILLE - Rodney Keith Shoaf, 62, passed away September 20, 2014. He was born August 16, 1952 in Forsyth County to the late William Franklin Shoaf, Jr. and Lessie Hayes Shoaf.

Rodney loved spending time with his children and grandson and will be dearly missed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and love cutting up and cracking jokes. In his free time Rodney loved to read and was also a cigar aficionado. He worked hard as a design engineer at Gilbarco with 35 years of service.

Surviving are his daughter Ashley Shoaf; son Jonathan Shoaf; grandson Hunter Smith; two sisters Jean Beck and husband Tom and Janet Sommers and husband Doug; five nieces and nephews; and 9 great-nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Pete Kunkle Officiating.
Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston Salem.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Senior Services of Winston Salem, 2895 Shorefair Drive Winston Salem, NC 27105, or to the Alzheimer's Association Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
