Roger Joyce Beeson

KERNERSVILLE -- Mr. Roger Joyce Beeson, 80, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Kernersville Medical Center. Roger was born on November 1, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Joseph Conrad and Emma Joyce Beeson. Roger was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. In his early years, he enjoyed farming and raising cattle with his father. Roger never met a stranger and treasured his friendships.

Surviving are his wife, Edna Perdue Beeson of the home; a son, Scott B. Beeson; and one sister, Hilda B. Eakins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
