Roger Eugene Sides

Roger Eugene Sides, 85, passed away January 14, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington, NC. He was born April 28, 1931 in Forsyth County, to the late Mark and Minnie Sides. He attended Griffith High School. Roger retired from AT&T after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Roger farmed on the side for many years with his father and mother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Lambeth Sides. He is survived by a brother, Ervin Sides; a sister, Elaine Sides Wind. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Hopewell Moravian Church Graveyard. He will lie in state one hour in the Hopewell Sanctuary prior to the graveside service. Memorials may be made to the Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington or Telephone Pioneers of America. We would like to thank his caregivers at the Hospice House for their love and kindness.
