Roger Lee Wrights

Mr. Roger Lee Wrights, 58, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. Roger was born in Forsyth County on June 8, 1958, to Harry Lee Wrights and Bonnie Jane Stewart Wrights. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Roger received a degree in History and Journalism. He worked for a variety of newspapers and political figures throughout his career. He played a major role in the Libertarian Party on both a local and national level. Roger was a talented musician and songwriter. He was a fighter and anyone that knew Roger saw the passion he lived his life with. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Annie Jane Wrights Gill and husband, David and Kelcy Leigh Wrights Taylor and husband, James; three granddaughters, Bayleigh, Mackenzie, and Gracie; four siblings, Harry William Wrights and wife, Rhonda, Karen Wrights Spease and husband, William, Bonita Wrights Martin, and Deborah Wrights Wood and husband, Terry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Overflow Church in Welcome, NC. Private graveside services will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
