Romeo Daquis Punsal

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the patriarch of our family, Romeo Daquis Punsal, 80. He departed peacefully on February 2nd, 2024 at home surrounded by his wife and children, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on March 31st, 1943 to Leonila Daquis and Pascual Punsal in Manila Philippines. He studied Chemical Engineering at MAPUA Institute of Technology in the Philippines and was later employed by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC-13) as the Director of Credit and Collection. He also served his community as Treasurer of Midtown Homeowners in Marikina Philippines. Romeo was fond of doing crossword puzzles (NewYork Times), gardening, and was active in church mission trips. He was preceded in death by his parents and all 11 siblings. He is left to be cherished by his wife, Heila, of 56 years, his children, Edgar Allan (Leslie) and Rochelle Grace (Timothy) and two grandchildren, Jan Daniel and Ashley Janelle.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10,2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Roger Inso officiating. A reception will follow in the Robert F. Miller Center at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Department of JCMI-USA.org
