Kernersville- Mr. Ronald Ray Frye, 67, passed away January 30, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born December 10, 1946 in Transylvania Co., N.C. to the late Ray Junius Frye and Evelyn Looper Frye. Mr. Frye was a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church. He was retired from Duke Energy with 38 years of service. He was an N.C. State Alumni and a loyal fan and enjoyed NASCAR and attending Winston-Salem Dash games. He will always be remembered as a family man that loved his children and grandchildren. His generosity and humorous personality touched many lives and will never be forgotten. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frye was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lee Frye. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Teresa Wilson Frye; three children, Robin Reneé Frye of Winston-Salem, Terry Ray Frye of Winston- Salem, and Kristie Kaiser and husband William of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren, Meghan Kaiser, Erin Kaiser, Jenna Kaiser, and Brittney Ward and husband Kirk and a great-grandson Roland Ward; a brother, David Frye and wife Tammy of Winston-Salem; a loving aunt, Ann Taylor. He is also survived by his four furry friends and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, February 3, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Charles Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and one of their special nurses, Pat Bovender, for the care and compassion shown to Mr. Frye.
