Ronald Jay Fulp

Mr. Ronald Jay Fulp, 80, passed away April 13, 2024. He was born September 6, 1943, in Forsyth County to the late Ernest Woodrow Fulp and Nannie Bynum Grubbs Fulp. Ronald retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 30 years’ service. He was a lifelong member of Hickory Ridge United Church for 60 years. His past times included auction sales, yard sales and fishing. Ronald enjoyed watching old westerns on television.  In addition, he worked every year at the fair booth to help raise money for the church he loved so dearly.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Kay Roberson Fulp of 49 years; infant daughter, Sherry Renee Fulp; sister, Patricia; and three brothers, Royce, Bill, and Richard Fulp.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Fulp (Donna) and Brian Fulp (Jennifer), all of King; eight grandchildren, Meredith Hartgrove (Jason), Robbie Boles (Megan), Chad Fulp, Cole Fulp, Canaan Fulp (Kristen), Dylan Fulp, Bryce Fulp (Carson), and Tyler Tompkins; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Fulp (Jo); three sisters-in-law, Jan, Bonnie, and Jean; and many nieces and nephews.   

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Forsyth Court, Village Care of King, and the Forsyth Medical ICU team for their professional care during Ronald’s illness.  

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Toth and Rev. Wesley McLeod officiating.  Interment will follow the service.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church Fund.
