Ronald Gray Reavis

Mr. Ronald Gray Reavis, 68, passed on Friday, January 20, 2017, at his residence after fighting a valiant battle with lung cancer for 11 months. Ronald was born in Forsyth County on January 23, 1948, to George Harvey and Mary Bell Reavis. After 37 years of service, he retired from Penn Engineering. His love of playing golf brought him many friendships. He also enjoyed many years of bowling, where he met his wife Donna Montgomery Simmons. Surviving are his loving wife, Donna; one daughter, Wendy Bayne (husband Roger); two grandchildren, Jessie Brengan (husband Glen) and Jake Bayne; one great grand-daughter, Emerson Bell. Also surviving are one sister, Becky Jessee; two step-sons, R. Keith Shields (wife Laura) and J. Clay Simmons; two step grandchildren, Delaney Shields Titus (husband Nathan) and Cary Shields; one niece, Sarah Sanders (husband Chase); and two great nieces, Ava and Ella. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on January 23, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel followed by visitation.
