Ronald Robertson, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Eugene Robertson Sr., 73, of Winston Salem, NC was called to his Heavenly Home on April 19, 2018. He was born on October 7, 1944 in Winston Salem to the late Brownie and Thelma Robertson. In addition to his parents Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Robertson and one brother, David Robertson. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Sweat Robertson and his son Ronald Eugene Robertson Jr. and wife Cathy, and twin grandsons Jack and Jeb. Also surviving is a brother, Jerry Robertson, of Winston Salem.

Ronald was a veteran of the US Navy, where he served as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class, aboard the USS Semmes (DDG-18) during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired as the Owner/Operator of Ron's Welding after 30 years due to declining health. Ronald was a member of Green Meadows Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Royal Ambassador Leader. He also served with the Baptist Men.

The Family will receive friends from 2pm-2:45pm on Sunday, April 22 at Green Meadows Baptist Church 1646 Hwy 801 N, Mocksville. The funeral will be held at 3pm, officiated by Pastor Josh Greene and Pastor James Buchanan. Interment will follow at Green Meadows Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge with grateful appreciation, the care and compassion given in our home by the Hospice team. A special Thank-You to Nurse Lydia, Nurse Stefanie and a Special Caregiver, Evette Young.
