Mr. Ronald "Ron" Eugene Walker, 73, of Lewisville, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Forsyth County to James and Mattie Cook Walker. Mr. Walker served in the United States Navy and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He retired from the US Postal Service as a letter carrier and later retired from Wake Forest University Baptist Health as a Respiratory Therapist. He was an avid fisherman and wood turner. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy Walker. Surviving are his wife, June Walker; two sons, Todd Walker and wife Mary, Tony Walker and wife Andrea; two grandchildren, Savannah Walker, Bryson Walker; one great grandson, Jaquez Mohammed; one sister, Alice Ward. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1210 Bolton St., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Forsyth County Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
