Ronald Wayne Wiginton, 66, of Pinnacle, died Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his home. Mr. Wiginton was born October 20,1959 to Norman Edward and Peggy Jo Kimbrell Wiginton, both now deceased. He was a career truck driver as well as a professional drummer and percussionist. His love of music and his talents as a performer spanned all genres. He found personal satisfaction not only as a sought-after accompanist but also as an instructor and teacher, helping others hone their musical skills and abilities. Mr. Wiginton recently celebrated his 41st wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Norma Smith Wiginton, who survives, of the home. Also surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Ashleigh Wiginton and a beautiful granddaughter, Maddison, all of Walkertown; a sister, Teresa Wiginton; a brother, Norman E. Wiginton, II; nieces and nephews. Mr. Wiginton was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Lee Wiginton. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Poplar Springs Christian Church cemetery, 7120 Highway 66-S, King, NC 27021. Minister Griffen Gilstrap will officiate. Memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Christian Church at the address above. Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel is assisting the Wiginton family.
