Ronald "Ronnie" Bruce Wild

Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Bruce Wild, 82, passed away, Wednesday February 14, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born August 21, 1941, in Asheville, NC to the late Troy Wild and Jessie Smith Wild. Ronnie was originally from Kingsport, TN. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at McDonalds. Ronnie drove a truck for over 20 years. In his spare time, he loved working and playing on computers. When he was younger, he enjoyed doing mechanical work. In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Spampinato Wild and son, Michael Wild. He is survived by his two children, Stephen Wild (Sarah) and Jennifer Mayberry (Mike); two grandchildren, Alyssa Mayberry and Byron Wild; and sister, Freda Hilliard. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place 10:00 AM Monday, February 26, 2024, at Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
