Ronnie "Joe" Loggins

Ronnie Joe (Joey) Loggins, 63, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 29, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Joe attacked cancer as he lived life and played his sports; with fierce determination and a mind set to win. The most important thing in this world to Joe was his family. Joe was born April 11, 1953 to Jerolene & William Loggins. He was the youngest of three boys. Preceding Joe to Heaven are his mother & father, Jerri and Bill, and his father in law, John Frank Royall, Sr. Surviving family are Joe's wife, Debby Royall Loggins, his daughter Dana Angel and husband, Andrew who Joe considered his ""son"", granddaughter Brooklyn Angel and grandson Sawyer Angel. Joe's brothers Wayne Loggins (Tommie) and Wade Loggins (Pauline), sister in law Patty Fletcher (Ray),, mother in law Dolores Royall and his very special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Last but not least, a very special dachshund, Ozzie.
Joe's passionate and competitive spirit for sports led him to many great experiences and relationships. Over the years, it was easy to find Joe on the softball field, the racquetball court or the golf course. He loved laughing, telling stories and having a Miller Lite with his buddies at the clubhouse. Joe retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 35 years to enjoy his family and play his beloved golf! Brooklyn and Sawyer were the light of his life. Playing with them and going for rides in the golf cart were always highlights of the day! A service celebrating Joe's life will be held Tuesday, January 3rd at 3:00 P. M. at Bunker Hill UMC 1510 Bunker Hill Sandy Ridge Road, Kernersville, NC with a visitation following the service. Rev. David Rorie and Rev. Kyles Wallace officiating.
