Ronnie "Ron" Lee Stephens

KERNERSVILLE – Ronnie "Ron" Lee Stephens, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 16, 2026. Ron was born on February 12, 1956 in Surry County to the late Dossie and Janie Needham Stephens. His love for vocals and piano led him to a BA degree in Music Education from UNC-Greensboro. Ron then used his talents and interests in a rewarding 35-year career in Hospitality Sales. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains, gardening and cooking – but most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are his husband, Gary Knight; a son, Adam Knight; one brother, William Dennis Stephens (wife, Denise); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at a later date. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
