Rose Marie Roberts 'Tiny' Griffin

Mrs. Rose Marie Roberts ""Tiny"" Griffin, 69, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born in Princeton, West Virginia on October 15, 1943 the daughter of the late Garland and June Roberts. She was a dedicated Christian and a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Rural Hall. Mrs. Griffin was retired from Piedmont/US Airways and was currently working for Gentiva Home Health. She loved spending time at her mountain home and was a very dedicated bowler. Mrs. Griffin was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward Griffin and a sister, Patty Payne. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie ""Buffy"" Boles and husband Kevin of Graham, a son, Chris Griffin and wife Jennifer of Germanton, four grandchildren, Joey, Casey, Brenna and Landon, her siblings, John Roberts (Sissy) of Abbs Valley, VA, Nancy Kay Blair (Joe) of Cross Lanes, WVA and Bob Roberts of Rural Hall and two very special nephews, Justin and Taylor. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews, Billy and Tami Payne, DeeDee and Eddie Cote`, Eddie and Johanna Payne and Tina and Michael Swartz. Funeral services for ""Tiny"" will be conducted 12:00 noon Monday, April 22, 2013 at Faith United Methodist Church in Rural Hall with Rev. Drew Southern officiating. Burial will follow in Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 this evening Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; Forsyth Medical Center Cancer or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, both in Winston-Salem.
