Ms. Rose-Marie Fain, 85, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Universal HealthCare of King in Stokes County, NC. She was born Norma Jean Fain, in Premier, McDowell County, West Virginia, to the late Howard Bennett Fain and Minnie Elizabeth Hull Fain. She legally changed her name from Norma Jean to Rose-Marie in 1981. Ms. Fain attended Berea College, University of Louisville and later completed her education in 1964 at Kentucky Wesleyan College, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education. Ms. Fain was an artist, certified nursing assistant, elementary school teacher and devout Christian, and for years was an active volunteer in the prison ministry in central Florida. Surviving are one son, Jeffrey Owen Coleman and wife, Susan Guattery Coleman, of Titusville FL; three daughters, Susan Rosemary Coleman Vann and husband, Jeffrey Vann, of Nashville TN, Lydia Angeline Coleman Lemons and husband, Greg Lemons, of Nortonville KY, and Mary Elizabeth Coleman and partner, Arthur ""Jim"" Shipp, of Richmond VA; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Fain was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Riggs and Barbara June Shoener; three brothers, Robert, Roy and Samuel Fain and one great-grandchild, Madison Rose Degre. The family would like to thank the staff of Dunmore Plantation and Universal Health Care of King, who took such wonderful care of Ms. Fain for so many years. A private burial is planned, in the spring, in Tom Sparks Cemetery in Paynesville, West Virginia.
