Mrs. Rosemary Foy Campbell, of Winston-Salem, died peacefully on November 30, 2016, surrounded by her loving husband and three children, after a several-year battle with dementia. She was kind, joyful, and gracious to the very end.
Rosemary was born on June 21, 1930 in Winston-Salem to Norman and Marguerite Foy. She lived her entire life in Winston-Salem, except for a short period in Santa Monica, California.
Rosemary attended Gray High School and worked briefly at Security Life Insurance Company. However, her adult life was dedicated to being a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a life-long Methodist, attending Ardmore United Methodist for the past twenty years and being a member of the Ardmore's Fellowship Class and the Martha Circle. Rosemary loved cooking, growing flowers, and making any space beautiful. She is greatly beloved by her family and a multitude of friends.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 69 years, Forrest Campbell; their three children, Connie Southard of Winston-Salem, Forrest (Alicia) Campbell, Jr. of Greensboro, and Susan (Gary) Scott of Montgomery, Alabama; six grandchildren, Katy (Joe) Goldsmith of Washington, D.C., Allison (fiancé Evan) Southard of Winston-Salem, Jessica (Walker) Fuller of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ashlyn Scott of Birmingham, Alabama, Olivia Campbell of New Haven, Connecticut, and Keiran Campbell of New York, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Ann Hodges of Winston-Salem, and her son-in-law Alan Southard of Winston-Salem.
Services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016, with a graveside service at Forsyth Memorial Park at 1:00 pm, and a memorial service at Ardmore United Methodist Church at 2:30 pm with Rev. Bev Coppley officiating, followed by a visitation and reception with the family.
The family greatly appreciates the dedicated service provided to Rosemary and her family by Home Instead Senior Care and by Hospice. Her children wish to thank and honor their father for his tireless and tender care of their mother by feeding her, singing to her, giving her endless kisses, and providing every last thing she could possibly need.
