Mr. Ross Alexander Huneycutt, 80, of Lewisville, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Salemtowne Retirement Community. Ross was born in Stanly County, NC on September 2, 1945, to the late Paul Alexander Huneycutt and Ramelle Ross Huneycutt.
Ross served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Texas and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC. He found his military service very rewarding, especially his time at Walter Reed Hospital where he was able to assist with booking entertainment for the soldiers. Following his honorable discharge, Ross attended King College of Business, receiving a degree in accounting. He retired from Novant Health after a long, successful career in medical supply sales and purchasing. After retirement, Ross began working part-time at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville. He was passionate about helping people and providing care for families in the community going through difficult times. Ross never met a stranger, and his caring personality provided comfort to those who needed it the most. He was a valued member of the Hayworth-Miller team and will be deeply missed.
Ross is survived by his wife, Nancy Norman Huneycutt of Lewisville, NC; his son, John A. Huneycutt of Oak Island, NC; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
