Roxie B. Tesh Lanier of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Roxie retired from Western Electric in Winston-Salem. She was a member of Enterprise Moravian Church. Roxie was born in Stokes County on November 20, 1935 to Chester Burrow and Lottie Smith Burrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of 50 years, Woodrow Dale Tesh, Jr. in 2003 and Raymond Ashby Lanier in 2015; her daughter, Dale Anne Tesh Everhart; her grandson, Christopher Ryan Tesh and brothers, Argie Stafford Burrow, Wesley “Pete” Burrow, Chester Carlton Burrow, Robert Joseph Burrow and J. Roger Burrow. Surviving are her son, Chester “Woodie” Woodrow Tesh and his wife Susan of Medford, Oregon; grandsons, Derrick Everhart of Asheville and Brantley Everhart of Lexington; great grandchildren, Zaiden Everhart and Brooklyn Everhart; a brother, Raeford Burrow and wife Jean of Walnut Cove; a stepson, Randall Lanier and wife Myra; a stepdaughter, Sandy Essick and husband Vernon; four step grandchildren; six step grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Polly Tesh, Marvelle Foltz and Mary Ann Mode (Charlie) and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Enterprise Moravian Church in Lexington with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enterprise Moravian Church, 2733 Enterprise Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.
