Roy Bowman

WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. Roy Bowman, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Bowman was born on September 16, 1928 in Mt. Airy, NC. Roy served in the U.S. armed forces; Army and Navy, and was honorably discharged from both branches. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid NASCAR fan. In Roy's later years he especially enjoyed playing cards with his friends, Don, Jack, and Joe. Preceding Mr. Bowman in death was his son, Bill Bowman. Mr. Bowman is survived by his daughter, Patricia Bowman James of Winston-Salem. Military honors will be conducted for Mr. Bowman at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A visitation will follow until 9:00 PM.
