Mr. Roy Daryl Hensley, 63, passed away April 12, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County. He was born April 22, 1954 in Kentucky to Rev. Renford Lee Hensley and Norma Barnes Hensley. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a member of Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church in Jamestown. Daryl worked construction with his father and subsequently was employed with Conway Truck Load. He enjoyed NASCAR, bowling, fishing and was a very talented dancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Virginia Hensley; two sons, David Hutton (Martha) and Mike Hutton (Wendy); four grandchildren, Nicole, Alicia, Andrew, and Christopher (Lauren); Five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kaylee, Alyssa, Bryson, and Jaxtyn; His mother, Norma Hensley; his sister, Terri Hobson (Gary); a niece, Christina Lester (Sid); a nephew, Gary Dale Hobson, Jr.. Daryl is also survived by his six K-9 companions. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. In lieu of flowers contact the family for their specific preference for memorial donations.
