Roy Cornelius Manuel

KERNERSVILLE- Roy Cornelius Manuel, 86, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1927 in Forsyth Co. to the late Walter and Pearl Sapp Manuel.

Mr. Manuel was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. He retired from Holsum Bakery after over 60 years of service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Roberts; two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Faye Osborne Manuel; two daughters, Lea Flynn and husband, Richard of Lewisville; Tracy Manuel of Kernersville; one sister, Ellen Pierce and husband, Charlie of Old Town; three brothers, Francis ""Pappy"" Manuel of Kernersville, Eugene Manuel of Kernersville and Paul Manuel of Old Town; one grandson, Michael Roberts of Walkertown; and son-in-law, Harry Roberts of Kernersville.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
