Mrs. Ruby Lee Jarvis Brendle, 80, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Home. She was born to the late Mr. Charlie F. Jarvis Sr. and Mrs. Agnes Cope Jarvis on March 21, 1945, in Forsyth County.
Ruby attended and graduated from Gray High School. She worked for 30 years as a service cashier at Modern Chevrolet. Ruby was married to the late Perry Brendle for 47 years. Together, they built a life full of love and memories.
She enjoyed cooking, word search puzzles, Sunday car rides listening to her favorite gospel hymns, and traveling to Pigeon Forge. Above all, Ruby loved her family, especially her 4 grandsons. She was always welcoming, and you could always count on her.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in passing by her husband, Perry Brendle; two sisters, JoAnn and Shelby; and a brother, Junior. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Crystal Marshall and fiancé, Trey Rominger; son, Billy Keegan (Amy); grandsons, Joshua Brendle (Cierra Thomas), Gavin Leonard, Spencer Keegan, and Slate Keegan; sister, Gail Bowman; devoted friend, Judy Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joe Maye officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
