Ruby Elizabeth Daubenmeyer, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at her son and daughter-in-law's home, Winston Salem NC where she had lived for 3 years. She was born February 2, 1926 in Winston Salem NC to Earcie Gray Edwards and Martin Luther Edwards. Ruby was a loving Christian and loved especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 50 years. She is currently a member Samaritan Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC She retired from Hanes Knitting, Inc. after 30 years of service as a Quality Control Manager. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Stewart, one sister, Ida Mae Lewis of Kernersville and a brother, Herbert Jackson Edwards of Winston-Salem NC. Surviving is her loving son Nelson Hanson Daubenmeyer and daughter-in-law Wanda Ann Daubenmeyer, two granddaughters, Annette Michelle Cumming (husband Scott) and Amy Ruth Maynard (husband Michael) both of Winston-Salem and two great grandchildren, Alex and Reagan. The family will receive friends Sunday November 27, 2016 at Hayworth Miller on Silas Creek from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon November 28, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev Danny Smith. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.
