Ruby Murphy Dorsett

Ms. Ruby Murphy Dorsett, 75, of Clemmons, passed away on December 20, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1941 in Forsyth County, NC to Paul Columbus and Myrtle Hutchens Murphy. She was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church for 10 years. Ruby loved God, her son, granddaughter and she was most definitely a cat lover. After 15 years of loyal service, she retired from the Winston-Salem Journal. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ruby is survived by one son, Timothy Paul Dorsett of Clemmons; one granddaughter, Kimberleigh Hope Dorsett of Pittsfield, MA. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 23, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor George Evans and Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
