Ruby Myers

Mrs. Ruby Virginia Taylor Myers, age 93, went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2018 after a short illness at Hospice Palliative Care Center. She was born March 4, 1925 in Stokes County to the late Cebron F. Taylor and Mallie Lawson Taylor. Ruby was a faithful member of Rural Hall Christian Church for more than 50 years. She was a loving wife and was known as the "best cook" on this side of Heaven. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Taylor; and one sister-in-law, Mary Lee Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Edward Myers; one niece, Barbara Taylor Snipes (Fred); one great nephew, Scott Andrew Turner; two cousins, Jean Sands, Iris Kuhl; sister-in-law, Barbara Davis (Clyde); two nephews, Randy Stone ( Sylvia), and Timothy Stone (Lynn); one niece, Pam Shelton ( Steve). A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Rural Hall Christian Church with Minister Wesley McCarter and Minister Peter Cain officiating. Interment will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall.
