Ruby Reece

Ms. Ruby Melton Reece, or Mamaw to us, passed away October 18, 2018 at her home.  She was 86 years old and led a full and blessed life.  An active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, she shone bright under God’s teachings: compassion, generosity and devotion.  Ever kind-hearted and soft-spoken (although feisty when necessary), she was beloved by all those around her.  Always seeing the best in others she would not hesitate to dispense a compliment, even to an unknown stranger.  After retiring from AT&T she continued dedicating her life to her family and faith.  She enjoyed music, dancing, embroidery, playing “word search.” and the company of others.  Her smile lit up the room.  Mamaw is survived by a daughter, Sherry Wall; grandsons, David (Tonya) and Joshua (Nick); great grandsons, Davis and Austin Wall; a special niece, Rhonda Porter Duhon; and her furry little Baxter.  She will be sorely missed.
