Russell Cude

Mr. Russell “Norman” Cude, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on October 19, 1931 in Forsyth County to Charles and Cassie Cude. Mr. Cude attended Gray High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Southern Railway for 14 years and retired from Schlitz/Stroh Brewery with 23 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Cude was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Edna Stanley Cude; his parents, and his brother, Charlie S. Cude, Jr. Surviving are his son, Keith Cude and wife Sarah; two grandchildren, Kristen Boyle and husband Brian, Amy Potoczny and husband Nick; three great grandchildren, Drew Boyle, Blake Boyle, and Chase Boyle. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Mr. Cude will lie in state 45 minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
