Ruth Biermanski Kluge, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at her home. She was born in Germany on March 11, 1938, to the late Franz and Maria Eberlein Biermanski. Ruth, Ms. Ruth, Mom, Omi was the epitome of a tough love matriarch. She was strict but loved fiercely. Always concerned if you were hungry and fed well. Her passions were the Lord, family- especially her grandsons once they came along, cooking, and her beautiful garden full of flowers- in that order. She could cook like no one else, specializing in everything from appetizers to main dishes and especially dessert. Her frankfurter kranz was like no other. Her rose bed was carefully and meticulously tended to include pruning, glueing, fertilizing, and watering. This is so similar to how she cared for her family. She had a difficult start to life- surviving WWII in what was then East Prussia now Poland and polio disease at age 6. She was a warrior though, to the end when the journey of dementia finally claimed her. She fought hard for 5 years as day by day it claimed more and more of her memories. Now she is in eternal glory with our Lord and our earthly father- Dad. Preceding her in death was her husband, Gunther Alfred Kluge and two brothers, Paul Gajewski and Werner Biermanski. Surviving are three daughters, Christine Kluge, Lisa Cain (Alan), and Heidi Andrews (Brian); two grandchildren, Hunter Andrews and Nathan Andrews (Ashlynn); also surviving is a sister, Lore Palcsik and two nieces, Susi Palcsik and Kati Bartley (Tim). A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America (Dementia Society of America">Dementia Society of America) or to Trellis Supportive Care (www.trellissupport.org)
