Sabrina Tuttle Tate

Sabrina Tuttle Tate, 57, of Harrisburg, NC, departed from us on Sunday June 25th, 2017 while at home after battling a prolonged illness. Sabrina, born November 12, 1959 in Forsyth County, NC, had an immense passion for arts and crafts. She saw creativity in everything and could make a bundle of sticks look like a bona fide piece of art if she was so inclined. She embraced arts and crafts with as much love as she had for her family and radiated with happiness while she was hard at work on a new project.

Sabrina also devoted time to interior decorating, there wasn't a season she didn't decorate for. She had a keen eye for what a home needed and wanted every guest to feel warmly welcomed. Every person that visited praised her on how elegant her home was designed. She had an inspiringly impossible amount of energy when it came to her love of decorating and often worked from start to finish on her projects in one sitting.

Sabrina often formulated ideas for her craft pieces while browsing flea markets and garage sales. On long road trips with her family she knew every flea market on the way and was absolutely thrilled with the prospect of what she could find. She was very thrifty in her finds while shopping and could always find something that fit just perfectly with her decor.

Sabrina was not only a devoted mother to her children, but to everyone. She cared deeply for her family and those in need without discrimination. Sabrina would have given every fiber of her being to help someone in need and often overlooked her own needs so that others could be provided for abundantly. Sabrina also frequently donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and would have loved if anyone donated to their cause in her honor.

It was once said that, ""The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long,"" and Sabrina burned so very, very brightly in our lives. To say, ""She will be dearly missed,"" is a severe understatement of how much her family and friends will miss her.

The family of Sabrina Tate will be having a wake in her honor on Friday June 30, 2017 between 6PM and 8PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem, NC followed by her funeral service at Griffith Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday July 1, 2017 at 2PM. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. All who wish to attend in remembrance of Sabrina or to support those she loved are welcome.

Special mention to her parents Eva and Wiley Tuttle and her ex-husband of 25 years, Brian Tate for taking care of Sabrina all the way through her illness. All of you cared for her above and beyond in her time of need and we all love you for it.
