Sallie Born Gambill

Mrs. Sallie Born Gambill 85, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away on May 26, 2012, at her daughter's home in Clarkesville, GA. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1926 to Dennis and Cecilia Long. Sallie was a homemaker and had retired from Unique Furniture Makers in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three husbands, Lewis Woodall, Thomas J. Born, and George Gambill; a daughter Barbara Born Miller (Danny); two brothers Dennis Long and Bradley Long; and two sisters, Lucy Hoback and Margaret Monte. Sallie is survived by three children Gail Routt (Jack), Clayton Born (Cheryl), and Crawford Born (Diane); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step children. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating.
