Samantha "Sammie" Darlene Gatica

Samantha “Sammie” Darlene Gatica, 28, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on July 6, 1996, to Ramon Gatica and the late Robbie Bland Osborne. Sammie was an incredibly kind and giving person. She was part of a tight-knit and close family. Sammie was known for always being there for those she loved, especially her brothers, nieces and nephews, whom she greatly adored. She had many hobbies, most of which included being outdoors. Many days were spent outside hiking and taking nature walks with her step-dad, Matt. She also enjoyed playing basketball, skateboarding, and animal watching. Sammie’s love for animals was exceptional, and her fondest memories were spent with her canine companion, Riley, as well as feeding ducks beside a pond. She was also an unapologetic Steelers fan. She spent lots of time collecting and playing guitars and loved driving her Ford Mustang. Sammie will be missed immeasurably by those who had the opportunity to know and love her.

In addition to her beautiful mother, Sammie is preceded in death by her best canine friend, Riley.

In addition to her father, Ramon, those left to cherish her memory are her grandmother, Fran Smith; step-father, Matthew Osborne; three brothers, Nicholas Gatica, Nathaniel Suits and wife Tara, as well as Sebastian Gatica; nieces, Addison Suits and Mila Gatica; nephews, Luca Gatica and Lincoln Suits; Uncles and Aunts, Jason Smith and Melissa Hull, Butch Barnes, and Beverly Hull; as well as Stephanie Martin, a cousin, and many other cousins and extended family members.

It brings peace to know that she is in her beautiful mother’s arms once again.
