Samson Prysiazniuk, Jr.

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Samson (Sam) Prysiazniuk Jr., aged 56, who died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on April 24, 2024. Sam’s unique spirit and authenticity made him a loved figure among all who knew him.

Born to Samson Prysiazniuk Sr. and Dorothy Babela Prysiazniuk in Saline, Michigan on March 24, 1968, Sam lived a life marked by exploration and genuine connections. His love for travel took him to many beautiful places, enriching his life with experiences and stories that he loved to share. Sam had a passion for music, which he shared with his children throughout their lives. Gatherings with family and friends were never dull with Sam around; his humor and enthusiasm brought light and laughter into every encounter.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Samson Prysiazniuk Sr. and Dorothy Babela Prysiazniuk; and his father-in-law, Jerry Kapp. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kristina Kapp Prysiazniuk; and their children, Logan and Parker. Sam was a cherished member of a close-knit family, including his sister, Kathryn Prysiazniuk Butler; his brother-in-law, Mark; nephew, Alex; and niece, Rachel. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Faye Kapp; and brother-in-law, Wesley Kapp (fiancée, Lauren); along with his nephew, Tyson; and niece, Sutton. His grandpuppy, Franklin, who was a source of constant joy, will also miss him deeply. Each of these relationships was dear to Sam as family was always his top priority. Sam adored his children more than anything, and he was so proud of everything they accomplished.

Remembered as a caring husband, father, and brother, a true friend, and mentor to many, Sam's legacy is one of laughter, adventure, and genuine love. His spirit of adventure and authenticity left a profound impact on all who knew him.

A celebration of Sam’s life will take place privately on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics of Davie County, 644 N. Main Street
Mocksville, NC 27028, an organization close to the family’s heart.
