Samuel Barr

Mr. Samuel F. Barr, age 71 of Advance, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at home.  He was born in Tennessee on August 8, 1951 to the late Cosba Franklin Barr, Jr. and Ruth Dull Barr. Sam was the owner of Barr Heating and Air. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Carter Barr.  Surviving are one son, Tony Franklin Barr and wife Erien of Advance; one grandson, Nathan Barr and one brother-in-law, Larry Carter and wife Lois.  A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory by Pastor Jason Holley.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday April 3, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hanes Baptist Church, 4210 Sabrina Lake Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
